Dr Rowan O’Hagan has a background in agricultural science and economics and a doctorate in regional economics.

Her business management expertise includes financial administration, project management and evaluation, and strategic planning in business, agribusiness, natural resource management and research. She has experience teaching economics, finance and accounting at the tertiary level.

Rowan has extensive research expertise in project design and evaluation, statistical analysis, database and spreadsheet utilities, writing, editing, analytical and presentation skills. Rowan’s research interests include regional economics, regional labour markets, water sustainability and women in agriculture. Her most recent research has focused on the socio-economic impact of drought and water policy on rural communities.

She has published widely on these subjects and presented her research at national and international conferences. In addition, she has twenty years practical experience in small business, primary production and community development in rural Australia.Rowan is committed to helping rural business and communities to reach their potential and build sustainable economic, environmental, human and social capital.
